Kazi Rafiqul Alam is the Chairman of the Board and Member of Executive Committee. He holds a Master of Art Degree in Education (University of Lancaster, United Kingdom), LL.B (University of Dhaka) and a Diploma in Literacy and Adult Education (Egypt).

Currently, he is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Dhaka Ahsania Mission, a leading Non-government Organization in Bangladesh. Under his leadership, DAM has developed into a multi-dimensional NGO with activities encompass education, health services, poverty eradication, environment protection and women development, among others. 
Under his leadership DAM received many awards including ESCAP, UNESCO (1998), Independence Award (2002) and National Literacy Award (1998).
